La Nueva Esperanza, Inc. (LNE) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit established in 2006 as a bi-lingual English-Spanish, bi-cultural community-based organization with a purpose to serve individuals in Brooklyn affected by the twin epidemics of HIV/AIDS and substance use/abuse by providing comprehensive prevention, education and food services implemented with the utmost compassion and care.
prevention education
Opioid-related overdose is a major public health crisis adversely affecting Brooklyn neighborhoods served by LNE. We also continue to see new HIV infections, especially in our Brooklyn communities of color. LNE offers opioid overdose and HIV prevention education services in both English and Spanish.
supportive counseling
LNE’s Supportive Counseling & Family Stabilization (SCG) program offers clients living with HIV and their families with low threshold case management services. Weekly support groups are available for individuals living with HIV. Groups are offered in both English and Spanish.
